Fetch Chat Direct-Model Tools

Direct-model conversations on chat.fetchhive.com can opt into server-governed tools while the chat is idle.

What you can do

  • Open the composer + menu to attach files or pick tools from the workspace catalog.
  • Native search tools (for example GPT Search) work without a separate integration connection.
  • Composio-backed integrations must be connected in the workspace before they can be selected.
  • Selected tools appear as a compact icon stack beside the composer + button and can be removed while idle.
  • Direct-model chats can switch models (and reasoning via the model menu) while idle; Saved Agents require a New Chat once the conversation has started.
  • Reasoning is display-only on the target hover card; change it from the model picker submenu.

Limits

  • Up to 10 tools may be selected per direct-model conversation.
  • Tool and reasoning changes are blocked while a response is pending.
  • Saved Agent conversations keep their preset tool configuration; runtime tool edits apply only to direct models.

Security model

The browser never sends tool configuration on invoke. Fetch Chat stores your selection on the durable conversation and the runtime resolves tools server-side before each model turn. Completed turns with tool calls settle through the same agent-completion outbox as other Fetch Chat runs. Direct-model completions may include tool output and search settings; they still cannot carry generated artifacts, parent-run linkage, or experiment result ids.
