# Connect an AI assistant

> Use Fetch Hive from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, and manage connected assistants

Connect an AI assistant to Fetch Hive when you want to find, run and share your workflows from a chat. The assistant gets its own connection to one workspace, and you can disconnect it at any time.

The connection URL is:

```text theme={null}
https://connect.fetchhive.com/mcp
```

## What can a connected assistant do? [#what-it-can-do](#what-it-can-do)

A connected assistant can:

* See your workflows, agents, templates, runs and connected apps
* Copy a library template into your workspace
* Run a workflow or a share page, after you approve each paid run
* Create or change a share page, after you approve the page copy
* Search the Fetch Hive docs

A connected assistant cannot:

* Change your approval settings or always-allow an action
* See your passwords, API keys or connected app tokens

Runs started by an assistant use your workspace credits, the same as runs you start from the dashboard. Before each paid run, the assistant tells you the estimated cost and waits for your yes.

## How do I connect Claude? [#connect-claude](#connect-claude)

1. In Claude, open **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Click **Add custom connector**.
3. Enter a name such as `Fetch Hive` and paste `https://connect.fetchhive.com/mcp` as the URL.
4. Click **Connect**. Fetch Hive opens in your browser.
5. Sign in if asked, choose the workspace, and click **Allow**.

Claude can now use Fetch Hive in any chat where the connector is turned on. Try asking "Which Fetch Hive workflows do I have?".

## How do I connect ChatGPT? [#connect-chatgpt](#connect-chatgpt)

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings**, then **Apps & Connectors**.
2. Turn on developer mode under **Advanced settings** if your plan requires it.
3. Create a new connector and paste `https://connect.fetchhive.com/mcp` as the URL.
4. Choose OAuth when asked how to sign in.
5. Sign in to Fetch Hive, choose the workspace, and click **Allow**.

## How do I connect Cursor or another MCP client? [#connect-other-clients](#connect-other-clients)

Add Fetch Hive as a remote MCP server. In Cursor, add this to `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "fetch-hive": {
      "url": "https://connect.fetchhive.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Cursor opens Fetch Hive in your browser the first time it connects. Sign in, choose the workspace, and click **Allow**.

If your client can't open a browser sign-in but can send headers, use a workspace API key instead. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer <your API key>`. See [API keys](https://docs.fetchhive.com/workspace/api-keys.md).

## How do I see or disconnect an assistant? [#manage-assistants](#manage-assistants)

Open **Settings** in the sidebar, then click **Security**.

The **Connected assistants** table lists each assistant, the workspace it uses, and when it was last used.

To remove one, open the row's menu, click **Disconnect**, and confirm. The assistant loses access within the hour and has to be connected again to use Fetch Hive.
